Dear Sarita Jonathan and Wendy, our hearts are broken as well, we are shocked and saddened by the loss of Paul. I can still remember as kids Paul and Jack and I as kids going for picnics and hikes and discovering everyday when we lived in the Peace Gardens. Paul was a very kind and loving person and Dennis and I will miss him very much.

I just wanted all of Paul’s friends to know they were blessed and PRIVILEDGED if Paul considered you his friend! Paul was a very unique and special person! Rarely did he get angry and if he did –look out! not because of what made him angry but rather that he allowed it to make him angry! Paul was my dancing partner always and we will dance again my friend! you will always be in my heart and to quote Paul “and everything else” lol

  5. My heart might be broken when I think about you,
But the friendship I cherished will always be true.
You loved to laugh, and you laughed to live
Your love over-flowed and had plenty to give.
My memories are plenty and they all make me smile,
All the good times we shared back on Vancouver Isle.
I’ll miss you forever, Goodbye my old friend,
I hope for an after life where we’ll meet again………

  6. I met Paul, Wendy and Sarita when they live in Comox on Vancouver Island. Always laughing and enjoying life. The life of the parties at Tim and Crystals place…’stand up Paul’ was the nickname I gave him…he never sat down at these gatherings. Although it’s been many years since those days in Comox I certainly enjoyed our friendship and those memories i will cherish for a lifetime. Rest peacefully Paul

Uncle Paul, my God Father! He was such a big person in my life growing up and we had such a unique bond. He made me feel so special and loved as a little girl and throughout my adulthood. Unfortunately I wasn’t the best at visiting him in Salmo, and travel was hard for him for the last while so we did not see each other much. It meant so much to me when he made the treck up to Barriere for my Mom’s service in 2019, I was incredibly happy to see him.
He was never more than a phone call away and I loved our chats, RIP God Father

Thanks for sharing the recording of this wonderful tribute to Paul – I can see him smiling down on all of you/us as he hangs out with Dustin – with his folks – with Jack….. just sending us a message that assures us that where he is is indeed pain free, and – ‘there are no taxes’!!! – and if you like you can crack a cold one and we can watch the football games any time – indeed: everyone is bursting with Love and good vibrations….. and although we are missed – the message is ‘ I am free’ – free from worry and pain, but sadly free from seeing us face to face. Look for his messages – they are there in every breath we take. Love to all.

  9. Sorry I missed this yesterday, I thought it was today. I just finished watching the video, it was well done and certainly moving. I’m glad I was able to help you bring your Dad (and Dustin) to their favorite place. That was a white knuckle ride but had fun (given the circumstances). Hope to see you and John again, you’re welcome to drop by any time you’re out here on 1the island.

  10. Hi Sarita, I just watched the tribute you put together for your dad, very well done and it brought back memories of our time together living on Guthrie in Comox. He has obviously done a great job raising you to be the bright and articulate lady you are today. Thank you for sharing those memories of Paul. Take care and keep your dads memories close to your heart. Larry

  11. I dont know what I can say about my friend Paul.
I was told by Mike that he introduced us, but I couldn’t remember as we met at the Wells Grey Hotel, so go figure LOL.
We have been friends going on 40 years. I was asked when Wendy and Paul decided to be married, and they asked me if I would be their best person. It was my honor to do so. He will be missed by my heart ❤️ and many others. Much fun was had by us all. Miss you Paul.
Such a union created a wonderful baby girl.
